Finding your way around

Sidebar, search, and the home page.

The left menu presents the content available to the user. Its organisation depends on the configuration chosen by the administrator: the menu lists the Qlik spaces, grouping apps as Qlik Cloud does, or it lists Folders, which are groupings created inside the administration area, with the names and resources registered by whoever administers.

Selecting a group loads the corresponding apps. Large groups load the first items and fetch the remainder as the user scrolls, which keeps opening fast even in large workspaces.

Ctrl + K, or Cmd + K on a Mac, on any screen. Search covers, at the same time, apps published in governed spaces, external links registered in those spaces, pages created in the portal, the user's favorites, and their support tickets.

App results open inside the portal. External links open in a new tab.

Search presents only what the user can open. Apps in other people's personal spaces are not returned under any search term.

Home page

The home page has two different configurations:

  • Favorites and my Analysis: the default, showing the user's favorites and their individual dashboard.
  • Ask: showing the Ask agent as the home page.
